Grown on 100% clay limestone soils on a parcel in conversion to organic viticulture. The wine is aged for is aged in stainless steel for 14 months on its fine lees.
Domaine Michel Girard Sancerre Blanc Les Monts Damnes' nose is delicate, with notes of lemon, wax and flowers alongside light touches of pepper and almond. The mouth feel is rich and creamy with a textured finish. Long lees-aging adds depth and texture to the intense, ripe fruit and the finish is fine and elegant.
As the wine is from the village of Chavignol goats cheese of course makes the perfect match for this wine.
