Quinta da Calcada is in the heart of the Vinho Verde region in Amarante. Family owned by the da Mota family and dating back to 1917, the winery is one of the oldest producers of Vinho Verde, with a focus on high quality white and sparkling wines.
Portal da Calcada Espumante de Vinho Verde wine is bright citrus yellow in colour with light golden nuances. Elegant and persistent aroma, with light brioche and dried fruit notes balanced by high salinity and minerality which is typical of the region. Good body, light toasty, complex and crisp acidity resulting in persistent and long finish. Great with grilled fish and seafood dishes, poultry meat dishes.
