The monastery at Kloster Eberbach (Rheingau) was established by Cistercian monks from Burgundy in 1136, bringing with them vines, expertise and laying the foundation for Pinot Noir production in Germany. Today the estate, managed by Dieter Greiner covers 200 hectares (150ha Riesling / 30ha Pinot Noir) and as a founding member of the VDP (Germany's finest estates) it’s acclaimed by journalists worldwide!
Kloster Eberbach Estate Pinot Noir wine has classic aromas of red berry and wild strawberry. Bright crunchy acidity and supple red fruit producing a light-bodied wine finely balanced by smooth tannins. Perfect with venison and other roasted meats.
