Domaine du Monteillet’s Stéphane Montez's family have been growing grapes in the Northern Rhône for ten generations and today have 23 hectares of prime vineyards in Condrieu, Côte Rôtie and Saint-Joseph.
Domaine du Monteillet Bons Arrets Monopole wine is from one of the very best plots on the Terres Blondes, the slightly cooler south eastern exposition ensures the wine retains freshness and vim. Understated excellence. Pinot-noir like Syrah. Really bony, precise, ever so slightly challenging in a good way - bags of cherry fruit and the perfect amount of acidity for a mouth watering finish. Aged for 18 months in French demi-muids. Pair with braised lamb shoulder or duck with a wild mushroom ragout.
