Hacker-Pschorr Weissbier. A traditional weissbier from one of Germany's oldest breweries. Hacker-Pschorr Weisse is a velvety banana-tinged weissbier.
Spicy clove, coriander and banana all play leading roles in both the aroma and taste, with satisfying bready malt as the backbone. Because it's unfiltered it's almost opaque, with a lovely smooth mouthfeel and a gorgeous creamy head.
Hacker Pschorr Hefe Weissbier is made with 60% Wheat malt and 40% Barley malt and is produced using top fermenting yeast before maturing. It is an unfiltered beer to guarantee its quality. The wheat for the beer is actually grown in champagne while the Siegel hops are sourced in the Hallertau region of Munich. Hacker Pschorr Hefe Weissbier is brewed in accordance to the German Purity Law. The yeast stays in the bottle to create a haze, through its golden yellow colour and crowned creamy head. Fruity and citrus notes accompany yeast in the aroma and there is a tangy acidity on the palate. The tongue picks up banana and honey from the malts with the hops balancing with slight bitterness. At 5.5% this is a very easy drinking wheat beer that can be consumed with lighter dishes such as salads or just perfect on its own.
