El Porvenir – “the future” has been the name of this estate since it was founded in 1890. This small, family-owned winery in Cafayate, specialises in Torrontes, Malbec, Tannat and red blends from 45-50 year old vineyards which are amongst the highest in the world at 1900m above sea level and surrounded by 20ft, 200+ year old monster cacti.
El Porvenir's march into the future continues with the Pequenas Fermentaciones range of small, experimental wines.
Pequenas Fermentaciones Naranjo Torrontes/Moscatel Orange Wine is a tight and floral Torrentes and Moscatel blend. The grapes were fermented in contact with the seeds and skins in concrete eggs for six months. Complex and pleasantly fresh, with floral notes of orange blossom and jasmine complimented by citrus and grapefruit aromas. Pair with roasted cauliflower or grilled halloumi dishes.
