Produced in Cornwall and taking inspiration from the region's historic tales of pirates and smugglers comes this rich spiced rum, brimming with sweetness and spice. Caribbean rum is blended with exotic spices and allowed to age in ex-bourbon casks to enhance its glorious flavour. The name Crusty Juggler comes from a local legend from years of yonder – sailors warned of sighting a man dressed in rags, juggling driftwood upon the rugged rocky coastline, his hands encrusted in salt. Upon sighting the Crusty Juggler, ships were doomed to crash upon the rocks. We can't help but wonder whether he was attempting to act as some kind of human lighthouse and they might have got the tale all back to front?
The finest Caribbean rum is blended with exotic whole spices of cinnamon bark, clove, ginger root, sweet orange peel and Tahitian vanilla pods, then aged for 4-6 months in ex-bourbon casks.
Tasting notes: Dark, treacly molasses sweetness, leads the way with a touch of oak char. Rich caramel and creamy vanilla nestle amongst zesty orange peel, warming cinnamon, and fiery ginger.
