Bodegas Ontañón is a 5th generation family-owned and run winery in Rioja Baja. Here Raquel, Rubén and Maria Pérez Cuevas continue their father Gabriel's work to develop Bodegas Ontañón into one of the most highly-regarded wineries in Rioja.
Produced from top quality organic fruit, the multi-award winning Artesa Organic Rioja has fresh and juicy bramble characters that will delight all fans of Rioja. Dive straight into this wine and you'll uncover fresh redcurrant and cherry hints on the nose combine with lifted herbal notes. The palate has complex juicy bramble fruit, black pepper, as well as more savoury, herbal characters to add interest. It's an oaked Rioja so expect lots of toasty coconut oak flavours and silky smooth soft texture.
A classic Rioja which is nicely integrated and it works great with beef casseroles, red meat or Manchego cheese. It's one of the most popular Rioja's in the shop and those who have tried it keep coming back for more!
