Every year Boutinot winemakers select only quality parcels of wine from different estates and producers, each contributing key components to the finished blend. The grapes for this 100% Sauvignon Blanc are sourced from Gascony where Sauvignon Blanc typically displays excellent varietal purity, zippy acidity and characterful flavours. The grapes are sorted and pressed before undergoing temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. Every care is taken to preserve the classic varietal Sauvignon Blanc notes.
The Bellefontaine Sauvignon Blanc is a well-balanced Sauv Blanc from the south of France that offers tremendous value for such a good quality wine. Classic Sauvignon Blanc nose with herbaceous notes, yet with underlying ripeness. Very floral, wild flower aromas balanced with a lovely fresh and pure lemon zest. Concentrated fruit and good acidity make this a very satisfying drop!
Drink on its own well chilled or with simple snacks and delicate fish dishes like sole or plaice; or try with goat's cheese.
