Blackjack Brewing Co Caminada - Chocolate & Hazelnut Imperial Stout

Based on the world famous Imperial Stouts produced by Barclay Perkins breweries, Blackjack kept this beer relatively simple. Base malt is backed up with additions of Black and Brown malt for colour and flavour with a bit of flaked unmalted barley to give body to the beer. Hop additions were kept simple with a bit of mittelfruh for classic noble hop balance as well as Phoenix hops to nod towards our regular stout. Fermented with classic English Ale yeast this is a big bold beer to enjoy next to a fire in the pub as Winter draws in... VISUAL: Ink black with a frothy tan head AROMA: Big rich molasses, soft leather, chocolate, chicory and dark coffee TASTE: As the aroma, a big treacle hit with warming bitter chocolate and deep roast coffee MOUTHFEEL: Big and luscious with a sweet silky body
