If you Google 'Nimród', you're presented with a mixed bag of definitions including a skilful hunter, the great-grandson of Noah, and a skyplane but you can now add to this a world-class winery located in Eger, one of Hungary’s most premium wine regions.
Kovács Nimród Dixie Chardonnay Pinot Gris is a zippy characterful blend from Kovács Nimród's Grand Cru vineyards. Part of Nimrod's all that jazz series, Dixie mirrors the fun upbeat style of Dixieland New Orleans jazz. Clear and bright pale yellow in colour, the nose is pronounced stone fruit and lemon sherbet characters. The palate is zesty with delicious fleshy nectarine fruit underpinned with good acidity and minerality. Enjoy with light chicken and fish dishes or try with a fruit salad for dessert.
