Harvesting is by hand and machine, and winemaking is traditional and overseen by Michel Lihrmann - pneumatic pressing, temperature controlled fermentation, no finings and light filtration before bottling - all to preserve fruit and aromatic qualities and elegance. His philosophy is to make wines with good acidity and fruit balance.
Turckheim Reserve Pinot Gris is aromatic but beautifully restrained - the perfect all-rounder. The Turckheim Reserve Pinot Gris is made with carefully selected grapes from superior plots, this is a rich, ripe and rounded, although still dry, wine. Pale golden yellow with floral and spice aromas, very textural with a long, slightly smoky finish. This wine perfectly compliments exotic flavours along with fish, chicken or vegetable dish, particularly if you are cooking with Thai or Asian spices, ginger or chilli.
