In Maligny - as far north in Chablis as you can get - on the right bank of the river Serein, Domaine Daniel Séguinot is a small Domaine of 27 hectares now run by Daniel's charming and very switched-on daughters, Laurence and Emilie. Since they took on the business from their father Daniel, they have been instrumental in the move to domaine-bottled wines produced without oak in a very pure, linear style.
Domaine Daniel Séguinot Chablis wine is pure and direct, very much in the Séguinot family's house style. No oak is used at this estate, and this is reflected in the applely, mineral and linear character of the wine. Time on its lees has given it a lovely texture and breadth to complement the apple and citrus fruit. Serve chilled accompanying light meats, grilled fish and salads or croque monsieur.
