Dona Paula Unique Malbec Organic

Dona Paula is a dynamic producer based in the heart of Mendoza. They acquired their first vineyard in 1997 in Ugarteche, Luján de Cuyo. This is prime Malbec country and Doña Paula set their sights on terroir expression from the outset. They have  subsequently added a further 3 estates in different areas of the Uco Valley, setting themselves up for longevity and consistency. 

Dona Paula use only estate grown hand picked grapes, with traditional irrigation and cultivated at high altitudes where the cooler temperatures allow the grapes to ripen slowly, developing complex and intense flavours. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in concrete vats for 10 months. No oak aging, which accentuates the fruity character of the Malbec.

Dona Paula Unique Malbec wine is an, un-oaked, organic Malbec. Bright with red fruit, cherry and plum, and a backbone of chocolate, coffee, olives and spice. Perfect paired with roasted pork and dark chicken meat or turkey. Also works well with creamy mushroom sauces and cheese, especially blue cheese.
