The Omrah range is inspired by the pioneering journey of the SS Omrah to the shores of Western Australia.
Omrah Shiraz is a well-crafted wine that showcases the character and depth of cool-climate Shiraz. On the palate, this Shiraz offers a full-bodied experience with well-integrated flavours. Ripe dark fruits - blackberries, plums and blackcurrants - are at the forefront, supported by notes of dark chocolate and a hint of liquorice. The spice elements from the nose continue to evolve on the palate, adding depth and complexity. The tannins are firm yet polished, providing structure without overpowering the fruit. The acidity is balanced, contributing to the wine’s overall harmony and length. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of dark fruit, cocoa and a subtle spice, leaving a warm and elegant aftertaste. Post malolactic fermentation, matured in oak and tank for 18 months.
Wonderful with a range of dishes, from grilled meats to hearty stews and is enjoyable now but has the potential to develop further with a few years of cellaring.
