Château l'Ermitage was founded in the 11th Century by the hermits of Sainte Cécile d'Estagel Abbey and it made wine for pilgrims en-route to Santiago de Compostella. The estate encompasses 80 hectares of sunny, south-facing vineyards planted on sandstone soils and benefitting from Mediterranean breezes that cool the vines in the summer.
Château L’Ermitage Rosé ‘Auzan’, Costières de Nîmes wine is a delicious, modern Southern French rosé packed full of flavour. A pretty, aromatic nose. Cranberry flavours on the palate with just a hint of tannin underpinning the bright acidity. Elegant and well balanced this is a great food rosé. Whether at home with lunch, poolside or at the dinner table, serve with Bouillabaisse, (the traditional tomatoey fish stew of Provence), lamb chops with Provence herbs, grilled trout and spicy dishes.
