The family-owned winery of Villa Raiano was established in 1996, in the village of Raiano, Campania. In 2009 a new winery was built - on top of a hill amongst vineyards and chestnut woods, overlooking the River Sabato near San Michele di Serino in the Southern Apennines.
Villa Raiano Ventidue Fiano di Avellino wine is a rich and textural Fiano from Raiano's finest vineyard plots. The '22' on the label refers to the distance, in kilometres, from this vineyard to the cellar! This wine has stone fruit aromas with some savoury, flinty and herbal notes. The palate is complex with peach, nectarine, mineral, and slight leesy characters. Textural with crisp acidity and great length. Great with calamari, seafood and vegetable pasta dishes as well as Porcini mushroom lasagne with ricotta.
Please note: All case wine orders can take between 7-10 days for delivery.

Villa Raiano Ventidue Fiano di Avellino 2018: ” …pulls you close with its bouquet of dried flowers, incense, a dusting of ginger, baked apples and pears. It’s elegant and rich, with waves of white stone fruit that wash across the palate with ease, leaving chalky minerals, wild herbs and inner florals. This is persistent and lightly structured through the finale, where nuances of peach skin and smoke linger. The Ventidue is sourced from a single hectare in the town of Lapio, with its calcareous-clay and yellow sandstone soils at 450 metres of elevation. The wine refines for twelve months on the lees in stainless steel. It’s a beauty today and has a bright future ahead of it. 93pts.” Eric Guido, Vinous (January 2022)
